DIY Black Headliner Project

All done. I need another coat on the headliner but after that it’ll be good. Honestly this was a dumb project but I’m 17 and need stuff to do.

I think that really, really came out very well. I know you said you're doing another coat but once it's in the truck, it'll be very hard to tell that it's not OEM.

Are the soles gel filled or hard? I have high arches and have a hard time wearing most shoes, sneakers and hikers. I can't wear flat soled flip flops because my feet are killing me in a few minutes and I'd love to get something like this if they're that comfortable.

The Graphene would be great as it's black in color but has a very nasty odor like lighter fluid. That's why it's only recommended for exterior surfaces.

I’ll have it done by Saturday. Just a note if someone attempts this- I think that the key fob receiver is on the top of the headliner. I had to lock my truck with remote start when I was at school today. It was a parking lot spectacle with no seats inside it. ?

everything is looking good though, only a few more things to do and we’re done. I’m waiting on more headliner dye to arrive and the graphine spray. You need 64oz of dye and 2 cans of duplicolor black dye also. I ordered 32 and didn’t have enough at all and now the headliner is grey.

If you're going to use the Graphene on your trucks exterior here's a thread I did on it. There's a couple good videos that shows how to apply it and remember, less is better. You don't want to put to much on or it'll be hard to buff off.

I’m curious about it, might do it. But there’s not a lot of space up there anyway.
