This was originally my plan but the stuff is so expensive I decided to glue some heavy rubber mat on top and just paint the rest black, the only exposed wood will be the drawer fronts anyways. I may still call around and get quotes on having the whole thing professionally sprayed with regular bedliner if I can find a place somewhat local that does Linex or something.
Awesome work!

Maybe this will work...I used this stuff on my Ranger and my wife's 2016 F1150 beds...

Google says the opposite of tumblehome is "flare"... No song there, just odd...

You were talking about covering it with rubber , would a bed mat work for that ? You would have lids in the cubby holes .
Ill custom cut some nice rubber mat I bought to cover the top, once its decked over the wheel well cutouts in a bed mat wont be needed anymore.

I'm tempted now to order some .25" to replace what I used, quite expensive for a 6 foot piece though.
It's not as cheap as vinyl, but it's a lot less than PTFE (Teflon). Somebody else in here suggest to check McMaster-Carr also. This is a great suggestion. They offer the stuff in rolls, like tape. McMaster does mark up the stuff a bit, but like the saying goes, "If McMaster doesn't have it, you don't need it."

Nearing the finish line, top made and one side cover made and installed. Sprayed some silicone spray on the slides and exposed wood and the drawers open and close effortlessly. Not worried about changing out the vinyl slides at all now.

I made the brackets myself if that counts. Bolts into the holes where the tie down anchors would be.

That looks like a really nice drawer unit, your brackets are exactly what I had planned for mine if it ends up needing them

I like this better than the Decked system.

The Decked platform is too tall and wastes a lot of space around the wheelwells.

Your system fits perfect and looks to be just the right height.

Well done, Sir :like:

The decked system definitely has its merits with the water resistance and strength but the height and lost space around it is a killer to me at least.

All finished up, have other projects to move on too so kinda had to rush to the end. Got the rubber all glued down on the top and the aluminum trim on the edge. Cut the extra rubber to line the drawer bottom.
