Got the sliders installed, not very difficult. I did end up drilling the two optional holes on the passenger side. I did not install this small bolt on the driver side, just because to me it seems like it has potential to rub through the body harness. I used raptor bed liner for top coat. Its...
Just got these delivered today. Great first impressions. Great welds. I think I will raptor line these, open to suggestions though. I will post again when I get them coated and installed.
I always tell uhaul that I am towing a 2000 ford focus lol. Lot of tongue weight here. The FE motor weighs close to 700lbs on its own. I towed all downhill on i17 into phoenix, it was definitely pushing the truck downhill but didn't feel unsafe at any point.
Looking to build a deeper custom box so I am putting this up for sale. Attaches directly to the factory tie down holes, no drilling holes in the floor. Cheaper and much more heavy duty than decked.
$700
Never used, stored inside after being replaced with a full size (33") spare, mid 2020.

I have not seen any domestic sliders made like this, but this is how the australians do it, and I think I will be getting something similar made. These are from Legendex.
Dont know where else to post it so I'll put it in this thread.
2.5in exhaust clamps welded to a 1in flat bar, and a rod holder from amazon bolted to it. You could do this without welding if you wanted though, just bolt it together.
I thought about doing a rear seat delete, but I do on occasion have more than one passenger. So I made a platform that I can quickly insert and remove. And I'd be able to clip a tether into one of the buckles hanging under the seat. However, I failed to consider the nasty hook on the underside...
Whats your plan with the antenna? I've thought about ordering a UHF antenna from GME and having it re-tuned. Australian UHF frequencies are close enough to GMRS that it might work, assuming the antenna is tunable.
