Something I did not know. got a message today in my Ford Pass that my baby went into hibernation mode, I know winter is here & it is getting colder, but I have my battery maintainer on so my battery is up, but it has not been used for 14 days. so it does not seem to matter if the battery is up if she has not been up & about in 14 days it still goes into hibernation. Someone once said you should try to learn something new every day. Just had my lesson for today. :like: Happy New Year to all.

I didn't know that either. I always thought it would read the battery maintainer and not put it in deep sleep mode.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
Same here, only had this happen one while out of the country, but didn't know it was time based and not battery state.

Deep Sleep I can live with. Dead battery NOT.
I agree, I've been using my maintainer for almost 2 years now. I still ended up with a dead cell in my battery this spring but luckily it was covered under warranty. Our heat destroys everything here.

its annoying to me

when I travel, and come back, its been into sleep mode for at least a week or longer.

in the winter, its frozen....

you cant use ford pass to start it, nor will the key fob start it from inside the airport.

so when I need it (a warm truck waiting) the most, I'm out of luck.
Just use Fordpass to schedule a start once a week. It'll run for15 minutes and stop. Then it will work when you get home.

I work from home and use the truck on the weekends. Also travel a reasonable amount given Covid putting a crimp on travel for most folks. Wednesday I have a reminder to remote start the truck and let it idle for 5 minutes. You can schedule a start on the app if you don't want to think about it. Since mine is too big for the garage (I think I got short dicked on garage space with this house) there is no risk of it being in an enclosed space when it fires up.

i think i tried that, and because theres no "key" start, it still goes into a different mode. you cant do consecutive scheduled starts without a drive cycle.
if i'm wrong on that, i may try it again.
You are correct; it only allows one scheduled start before requiring a key start. Super annoying.

I think so too. I forgot to disable scheduled start over the holidays and the truck started on morning.
I then got a message that scheduled starts were disabled due to inactivity.

This just happened to me. I logged into ford pass and is saying deep sleep. I literally just drove 20 miles today and typically drive 4 to 5 days a week. Hope this isn’t the battery issue. My truck gave no indication when I was driving it today.

Mine was doing this and I checked battery voltage as well as alternator output and everything was perfect, yet 4-5 hrs after driving it would go into hibernation. I reset the BMS and have not had a single issue since.

Same thing here! I drive the truck every day about 10 miles to and 10 home from work (only sits on weekends because I use the ole Moutaineer for weekend errands) and yesterday, I tried to use remote start from the FordPass app, and it said it was in Deep Sleep! I tried to use the key fob start, wouldn't work.

Same thing happened to me yesterday while I was at work. Went to get something out of the truck and the app said deep sleep mode. WTF? There was no indication anything was wrong except for the app.

Being that a sync update is out - quite possible that sync update is causing it- or since you are all reporting same day - possible App glitch
