So tell me this wasn't stage without telling it wasn't staged! Why would they have these ahead of time unless they all knew this was going to happen

Without getting into this particular incident (I don't need to get involved in the politics of a jurisdiction where I don't have the vote), I'm just generally going to say for the same exact reason soldiers are still issued gas masks, even though everyone agreed after WWI that gas weapons were beyond horrific and nobody should have them. There's always that one SOB who just wants to watch the world burn.

I guess my point is they didn't know this was going to happen so why issue them in the first place? Unless they're kept on hand in the building for precautions?
