This was about $3500 to repair after some idiot tried to go straight in a turn only lane while I was in the optional left turn lane turning (yes I signaled and everything) last November. If yours isn’t totaled, it would be at least 15k I am guessing.

Was just a quick example. They most likely have the same assembly or if they don't they can make you one.

Let's try with some effort:
For the Ali part you need to swap the sensor from the old one though. 200$ with the sensor.

BTW: Here in Finland they are discussing about banning thse chinese online shops, since about 1/3rd of the people have switched to use them and are bypassing the 10 price hike on the counter.

but here in Pa we hsve yearly inspections if lens does not have the dot stamp on it you will fail so many rules and reg here in the states .....

Thanks all, this is helpful. My goal was with this post was to get an idea for what I should plan for. This has been my daily, which ironically means I put very little thought into the ins-and-outs of it.

Poking around and it doesn't look good...I don't see the door frame/surround as even an option, the only part I can find that include the damaged component is the entire cab assembly for $9,900. I'm not going to allow them to attempt to pound-and-bondo the current one unless they can get a Ford PE to send me a stamped drawing stating that Ford guarantees complete original crash worthiness. Oh, and the inner fender rail isn't even available anymore. Mine is damaged beyond reasonable repair because the cross brace piece punched a hole clean through it.

Anyways, I'll post an update with the repair estimates.

I may very well be totaled. Modern vehicles, even body on frame like our Rangers, have crush zones, built into the design. They are there so the vehicle give itself up to protect the occupants. They are the reason you are still with us. They deflect the forces of the Collision away and around the cab. Once damages they are all but impossible to fix.

This is why we all long for vehicles from the past. We dont want to be safe, but at least our truck will live to see another day.

Let us know how this turns out. I say there is no way that Ford will guarantee the body shops work when it comes to crash worthiness. You may be in for a fight. One other thing to look at will be diminished value due to this accident.

I think you are probably looking at a total. Be sure to get as much as you can on the settlement so you can get another vehicle, whatever it may be.

Yes interesting that, a number of Chinese makers sell mid size utes over here now, but the cheap arse local importers often don't keep good local stocks of parts. One guy on a Chinese truck channel here cracked his diesel filter housing, which to be honest wasn't in the best of locations on the chassis rail under the truck, vulnerable to stones etc. But the local distributor quoted some astronomical price, and a wait of weeks to months to get one in stock. He managed to find the EXACT same filter on Ali Express in the exact same packing, which landed at his door 5 days later for the princely sum of $50.00 Aud including freight. He said it looked identical to the the damaged one he took out and filmed the replacement process on his channel. So I have little sympathy for some of these guys when they complain about competition.
