Question, anyone have any info on how large of an Inverter could be run off the stock battery and alternator? I have a 700 watt appliance and was considering a 800 watt inverter. Obviously that's cutting it a little close, but I've heard that the stock alternator might not work well with a 1000 watt or larger inverter.

Second question is how much would it cost to install a heavy duty alternator, if anyone has done that. Thanks.

For starter whoever said that our Rangers cant handle a 1000 watt inverter doesnt know Mich about electronics. If i remember correctly the factory alternator is a 175 amp wich is huge!!! I remember my parents chevy express that had a 100 amp alternator and it did fine with a 500 watt inverter.

Second, I dont know if the aftermarket has an alternator for us as of yet. I'm actually hoping that a sealed option will be available soon.
