hello guys I recently bought some ASH-85966 shocks from Walmart it did say sold and shipped from Walmart. Once they arrived I noticed they did not have the fx4 sticker on them do they not come with them or is there a chance they are counterfeit?

Send them back.

There's probably people on here that will give you a set of FX shocks for the cost of shipping. They are not that great of a shock. If you're spending money on new, there are much better choices.

I just threw away my set of low mile FX2's.

In addition, I wouldn't buy ANYTHING you're counting on to be OEM from Amazon or Walmart. Rockauto or one of the brick and mortar stores with a web presence would be the only place I'd order anything like that (or spark plugs) from.

Walmart is getting into the same business model as Amazon. You buy from them thinking it's coming from them, but they ain't. Return them.

They should, or at least on Amazon it will say where it's being shipped/sold from.

caveat emptor

definitely a chance.

I don’t think Walmart would be an authorized OEM reseller. Any of their third-party vendors certainly wouldn’t be.

I think Benny @LevittownFordParts.com has likely come across this same scenario in his travels.

But like someone above has said, near new, used FX4 suspension is likely available for the cost of shipping.

I’m curious, did their online picture show the logo?

My 2023 FX4 shocks did not say FX4 on them from the factory. But I didn’t care as I switched them to Bilsteins at 1,000 miles.

I've bought extensively etail from Amazon, Walmart and Temu. All have their pros and cons , with prime you can return basically anything for any reason, lately though I see amazon allowing a lot of new and difficult to vet vendors, mostly from China, this mostly driven by Temu lower prices. I've experienced the worst customer service by far from Walmart , won't make online purchases there. Right now trying to decide on an inflatable fishing raft sold on amazon for $400 less than us based firms- which undoubtedly source from China, I've seen some of these remarketers use well known us company names to market, a questionable practice. But I compared my purchases of lifepo4 batteries and solar panels , temu vs amazon and temu was 40% less , pretty compelling.

Sure for that kinds of stuff but for OEM vehicle parts, I'd never.

One would think FX4 shocks would be great but sadly they happen to be the worse thing ever installed on a Ranger.. IMHO

May I suggest a reputable aftermarket solution?

Thank you for sharing these pictures I noticed yours have the part number either etched or stamped onto the assembly and the one I received did not, that is making me think they are not authentic, I could be wrong but did notice that difference

Zero struggle for me to believe it.
