This area is really vulnerable when off roading as none of the skid plates protect it. Maybe someone has or can come up with an idea for some type of protection. I know @Lateknightucd had a similar issue with his connector getting broken. Not sure if he had the same specific codes as you but he did have issues.
Thanks for the tag Steve. Yes, this is the exact connector. From what I can tell, I drove over a log *just* wrong and it flipped up and separated the plug. My symptoms were the engine dying and all codes related to fuel rail pressure, fuel level sending unit, etc. because the fuel tank harness was downstream. Codes cleared and the engine started back up after the harness was reconnected and I haven't had a persistent CEL since. In my case the clip holding the harness together broke and while it seems like you can simply replace the plastic body of the harness connector I haven't been able to find that part. Ford wants $800 for a new downstream harness so zip-ties it is! I also added the RCI fuel tank skid to try and protect this in the future.

If it becomes an issue, you can buy the connectors separately from the harness.
But this is a pigtail assembly, and you would have to pull it apart and swap over the outer case, this involves depinning the connector.
It is still expensive at around $200 per side.

C408 - 34 Cavity Connector
Each side of the connector is a separate harness number
If you search eBay, you can get the harness assembly halves at a cheaper price.
The Male half: (- Dash) should be for all trims
The Female Half: (- Dash) will vary depending on what options you have running back)

Part Numbers:

Male Half: WPT-1632 Part of Harness # 14290 (Runs Forward towards engine)

Female Half: WPT-1638 - Part of Harness # 14405 (Runs aft towards bed)

That should be it but I need to confirm whether I would need one side or both. Fortunately, zip ties and keeping it protected are working fine for now. Thanks to the group here for this info though!
