Certainly aggravating having to take a new vehicle into the dealer so many times and put those miles on it. I just count it lucky that they actually will fix it under warranty as it isn't really a problem with Ford rather the undercoating places not knowing enough to not spray in that sensitive area. Hopefully they have the part on hand and you don't have to wait for it. I had my truck undercoated at Krown again in November and made sure they knew not to spray on top of the tank. Fingers crossed they listened and i won't have to deal with this again, this time without a warranty.
I am surprised that the Krown caused this problem. I had it done when i bought the truck, and it had the second annual application a couple months ago. Going to follow your advice and experience in this! Thank you very much for your help. I will report back after i can get truck back in to dealer.

Ok took truck in today. It is the pressure switch that is the problem. They have to order the part, so i get to take it back next week. Hopefully this fixes problem once and for all. Sounds like exactly the same thing Jake went through. Thanks to everyone's advice and comments.

Well i got my first check engine light. i was on my way home from work the other night cruising along the highway at 65 mph and saw it on. I almost didn't notice it, as my truck i drive at work has a yellow indicator light for the exhaust brake at almost the same place in the instrument panel! I felt a buzz from my phone as it got an alert from the Ford Pass app, so that was cool. It said my ranger has an issue with the evaporative emissions system. Luckily i am on vacation this week, so i have an appointment at the dealership first thing Monday morning. Truck has 23,000 miles on it, mostly highway, with no previous engine light problems. Just thought I would post up and contribute to the database here. Will report back on issue resolution. Happy Holidays!
Sams here, me too, you have an exhaust brake? I made a phone call to a Ford mechanic friend, ssdly he lives 300 miles away, said it was most likely the sending unit on top of the gas tank and did I have my truck rust proofed oil sprayed recently ....YUP, SHIT. Apparently the product gets into the electrical coupling and messes it up as there no rubber boot on it to protect it from the elements. It's now throwing another code PO459 which is all related to the evaporator emission system. it's a bitch to get at but can be none on a hoist without dropping the tank
