Here I am back after a long hiatus. I took my 2022 Ranger on some pretty gnarly off road trails, then drove home and did an oil change. Upon starting her up I got hit with this on my Ford Pass App.
I hooked up my Laptop and ForScan says its code P2418:
While doing my oil change I saw that this massive connector had been broken and somewhat ripped out during my off roading adventures. The connector was a little disconnected and the loom was torn enough that about and inch or two of wires was exposed.
Similarly, one of my fuel lines was pretty ben, but not kinked. In the picture it was the lower line.
Clearing the code on ForScan and driving around for a bit had the code come right back. I was hoping someone here good offer some advice or help, as the Ranger is my daily driver. Is it “safe” to drive with this code for now? Also any ideas or fixes to get her back to being 100%? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
