I'm a new owner of a gently used 2022 Ford Ranger Lariat Tremor and loving it. Was checking out the engine bay and noticed a bracket with some studs on it (circled in red) next to the aux switch fuse box.

Anyone know what the bracket is for? An Oil Catch Can or something else?

I tried searching for the numbers on top of the bracket but could find anything meaningful other than:

WSS-M1A365-A11 is a steel alloy spec
U9WHA google search results say its door hinge bracket, but it's definitely not that
JB3G12B.... ?????? looks like a ford part number of sorts

It looks like a handy bracket for stuff. I doubt you could order it by itself.

It's where I mounted my oil catch can instead of teetering above the engine fan

Its been discussed on here and I think it was determined to be a Tremor specific mount point for the Ford catch can, but cannot confirm that I remember correctly.

Thanks. I figured it'd be for a oil catch can too.

What oil catch can did you use? The Ford one or another aftermarket one?

My UPR came with a bracket that attaches to a radiator bolt. That area seen above is still open. I'd want a place to mount a fuse block. The alternative is a custom ordered mil-spec bracket from Australia.

Ok, curiosity got to me on this bracket:
Here is the Part Number - JB3G-12B681-BB

It is for the ROW Ranger markets with Diesel Engines as it is a - Glow Plug Relay Mounting Bracket, so for the US Version Ranger - it serves no purpose for OEM mounting however aftermarket Winch options use that bracket for mounting.

Interesting. Well, at least there are other creative uses for the extra bracket. Thanks.

Super weird it got installed on a US vehicle then. I wouldn't mind that auxiliary fusebox all the same... what's that part number(s)?
