I think the 6G I priced out on line, Ecoboost V6 - only with 4x4 of course and in Lariat trim and e-locker + full tow package (even backup assist) came in somewhere around 54K. I paid just under 35K for my 2019 Lariat 2WD that didn't come with factory tow package or the upgraded sound system so all things considered 50K is about right although the mental roadblock would be paying over 50K for a midsized truck.

As others have said, a tune would be tempting. Why bother getting a bigger motor if you didn't want the power?
kinda agree... my 2022 FX2 I got 3% below invoice from Granger

Nope no tune, it doesn’t need it. 93 octane gets me 0-60 in under or right at 6 secs. It’s about as quick as the raptor and it’s faster than the raptor from 30-60
Adding all the weight of the Raptor, the 2.7L will be the sweet spot for me if I HAD to get a 6G Ranger. I am holding out to see what the USA Tremor offers. I prefer the front end of the Raptor but would be happy with an FX4 XLT 2.7L if it had the Raptor front end.

I am still wondering if my new engine at 50k miles was a blessing or curse. I swear my mpg is lower than the old engine and I am already past 3k miles on the new one.

I would argue the risks vs. reward, and the warranty thing, but I understand. Enjoy that awesome ride.
Sorry I thought you meant a non ford performance tune. They still haven’t released the ford tune yet. I am considering the ford tune, more for better mpg and easier shifts more than speed, but I’ll take the speed increase as well.

I was talking about any tune. The Ford tune is good, but there are better ones out there. I got the Livernois tune at about 29k miles. Was not concerned about the warranty. There are plenty of discussions on here about how a 3rd party tune affects warranty, generally Ford would have to prove the tune caused the failure. Otherwise the extra power is awesome, and worth the risk in my opinion.

holding out for the PHEV ranger the rest of the world is getting.
I am willing to bet we will get 1-2 years after the rest the world and it will sell like hot cakes. sign me up if it's reasonably priced and get the current 6th gen tech

I went through my credit union. Ford credit lowest tier with perfect credit was 7.9! It may have come down a bit as it’s now truck month. But my credit union gave me 4.5% for 60 months. The sales guy said no one is using ford credit for the rangers and they haven’t come down on interest rates in a long time.

Look for a new 24’. There are plenty on the lots still, they are discounted and they have some features that they are doing away with in 25’. I think the parking assist, newer gear shifter, and some other smaller items may be deleted in 25’

. Well I did it again. Bought the new 6th gen. I waited until after the first year to see if there were any issues. Bought a 2024 lariat, fx4, advanced towing package with of course the 2.7 v6. It’s literally everything you could want in a ranger. It’s perfect. Rides better, all the technology, it’s fast, etc etc. if you are in the fence, just pull the trigger. Just trying to find a set of 5th gen black rims to swap mine out. Ask me questions I’ll have answers if your considering the upgrade

Kyle, how is it that you are in AZ and the truck is pictured in North Texas (I know exactly where that Shell/Jet's pizza is...don't live too far from there)?

Being that your username is Greatlakespilot....if you tell me you are from the U.P....well then we have a lot in common.

Hope you are enjoying the truck!

haha. I just kinda just relocated to Texas. We still have a house in Arizona but we just bought a house in flower mound. And I am actually from the UP. I went to high school in Rudyard just south of Sault Ste. Marie. Message me

Yeah, this has got me seriously thinking about upgrading. Then I think, will they be trying to sell the '25's off next year when they start rolling out the 26's.
There are a couple of '24's with features I would want sitting at nearby dealers that have been there a while. Getting the itch.
