Well since my last 16” wheels didn’t fit. I moved on to the next brand / style to try. These are 16x8” and -10 offset. I’m stuck between running these 4 different sized tires.

235/85r16
255/85r16
265/75r16
285/75r16

What size do y’all think would require the least amount of trimming?

cant say which is the best but those are sharp wheels. I know the 285 seems to be pretty popular size to go to and are easy to find at tire shops. i try to avoid any tire sizes that not popular. just in case i ever have a blow out and need a tire, dont want it to be one that needs to be ordered or shipped.

I just installed a set of 265/65/R18 on the factory rims, with a 1.25" spacer. The tires *just barely* kissed the back of the front crash bars at full lock. I don't know how close to your -10 offset the spacer would have made my setup, and I realize this is not one of the sizes you were considering, but with the offset of those wheels, you will definitely be removing crash bars (front and rear) as well as likely having to cut out inner fender lining, possibly fender itself if you go with the largest size you have selected. I'd suggest the 235/85 or 265/75.

Oh, and those are some sick wheels!

Good luck!

I suggest 265/75R16. I have 32s and I’m happy with the look. Your negative offset is going to give you some poke (Texans love them some poke - amirigh?) but also some grief - I see after market anti-intrusion beams in your future and likely some creative kitchen scissor action. ?

You may already know this but others reading the following may not…. As you push the wheels out with spacers or lower the offset, when your wheels are turned, they are being pushed closer to the crash bars.

Are you lifted or levelled? If not, a 2“ to 2-1/2” levelling spacer kit or levelling coil overs would help a bit as well. If it’s levelled, I think the first two choices on your list will look very small in your wheel well and kind of skinny from behind. With those tough looking wheels, I don’t think you’re hoping for small and skinny?

If you go with the 33s, you’re better off making sure you have as much room as possible - a 3” level and maybe a 1” block in the rear. Otherwise, it might look like you stuffed your wheels in there with a shoe horn. You’ll still need different crash bars. Also, it’s not recommended to go beyond 3” without upgrading the UCAs and performing a front diff drop.

Good luck Coleton. Whatever you decide, your Ranger’s going to look pretty great with those wheels! ?

I have a 2.5” front and 1” rear bilstein lift. I tried to get away with a 0mm offset with another wheel brand. But due to a lip on the back of the wheel, they would not fit flush. So I went with these and the only 16x8s they had were -10 offset, hence why I gotta deal with the -10 offset. I was also thinking 265s. I have that size on one of my other rigs and i like the look. I’m gonna see how the poke looks before I play with the idea of flares

You’re already in great shape for what you have planned. I’m sure you’ll have some poke - I think RTR and Lund both make a relatively low profile flare. The Tremor flares are really nice too (really slim) but only come painted in grey - more work and $$ to make them match your truck. It never stops. ?

I guess that’s half the fun. Post some picks when you’re done.

I popped in for the first time and was the oy one to vote for the 255s.

Only to scroll down and see that's what you chose.

Good choice!
