Good point about not going past the shut off. But I do round it off so it's either a 0 or a 5 for the cents. Another OCD habit of mine and NO, I'm not crazy my mother had me tested! ?

I try and stay with Chevron and use my Safeway points. 1 out of 10 the pump is messed up and gives me .25-.30 cent gas. I tried once telling the owner the pumps do this. He just shook his head and said it’s Safeways fault.

But I normally fill with 91 and every 2000 miles a tank with Lucas Cleaner.

If I still had the F150 right now, filling up with 91 would make me cringe.

I may just go back to 89 and Lucas to achieve 91 and save a few bucks since right now the price difference between 89 and 91 is between .50-75 cents a gallon making Lucas additive a cheaper route.

From what I remember someone posting this a while back, once it's full when you add more it spills into a reserve area (or whatever it's called) and you're just wasting money and fuel.

In Canada, the closest Costco to me today is $4.98 for 87 and $5.36 for 91. The closest Shell is $5.36 for 87 and a whopping $6.16 or 91. All converted to US prices and volumes.

But as I have said before, a cancer diagnosis, simple gunshot wound, or snowblower entanglement is nowhere near as devastating to the pocketbook, due to the higher taxes we pay up here ??

I just put in regular grade from a reputable station. Tried the premium thing, but I just moved so money is tight. Once paying debt is done I'll likely go back to premium.

I only use Sunoco 93 Octane.....because that's what my work gas card is for! haha!

Antectdotal and not scientifically tested.. but i used 76 for a couple full tanks and avg 1 gallon per mile less than when i used chevron, both premium - 92 octane. I've always used chevron but wanted to test 76 because its the gas station literally next to my neighborhood. Guess ill just stick w/ Chevron haha.

Didn’t realize asking someone about a preferred gas station caused this fuss. Wow … ?

I stick with the major companies. and mostly 87 octane. I dont haul anything, including ass !
