I use Shell exclusively, unless there isn't a Shell around. It's the best fuel around this area. Plus TMobile gives you 15¢ off per gallon, per week. That brings the cost of Shell down to prices lower than the competition.

On the other topic, I run 91 (premium here). I wouldn't say the truck is faster but, when I run 85 or 87, the truck doesn't seem to have as much... gusto... when trying to accelerate up the hills and mountains. And we have a lot of hills and mountains. The truck feels like it runs better on 91, so that's what I run.

I run Top Tier 87 oct in my Ranger mostly; BP, Holiday or Kwik Trip. I don't tow anything and usually I'm just hauling sailboat fuel. All day on the I-slab I'll run 91 oct TT. My bike gets 91 oct No ethanol (E-0) exclusively. My butt-o-meter can detect a little smoother running and better performance, but that may be just me rationalizing the extra 60-70¢/gal. It gets 60+mpg so it's not a big deal. Top Tier always either octane.

Top Tier premium.

Occasionally I'll use the local grocery store when our "discount" gets too large to pass up.

Costco $.30 cheaper per gallon. I filled up the other day @$2.85 per gallon
Wow what a difference. I just filled up at Costco on Sunday and it was $3.55 for 91. It's $4.27 for premium at most other stations here.

Don’t be offended. I think it’s hilarious :). BTW, I use the same pump, at the same station. Is that bad?
I actually try to do this as well.

Hey OP: Welcome to the sarcasm jungle!! I pretty much stick to Costco, Shell, or Mobil. 91 octane and yeah, if I am trying to establish fuel economy from a particular brand I will use the same pump and I always stop adding fuel when the auto shutoff activates.

Good point about not going past the shut off. But I do round it off so it's either a 0 or a 5 for the cents. Another OCD habit of mine and NO, I'm not crazy my mother had me tested! ?
