Sorry for the delay, it is a white wire w/ green stripe in the harness under the sill plate. I tapped into it under the sill plate on driver's rear door. Hard to get a good picture of it.
I didn't amp the main speakers, just pulled signal for the subwoofer. I know in my post I said I used the rear speakers as my source. But now I'm wondering if I used the front speakers. If I set the stage mode to driver instead of normal I get much more bass response.
There is a wire in under the floor trim pieces that goes all the way to the cargo light. I tapped this wire for my bed lights and they come on any time I unlock the truck, open a door, turn on the cargo light. I can look tomorrow and let you know exactly which wire I tapped. it was either yellow...
Hello Community,
I'm trying to find some ideas on where to mount a new GMRS radio in my '19 Lariat. I was running a small 15W mobile that was tucked nicely between the 12v outlets and fit real nice. Fast forward to a new 50W mobile radio with a removable head and now having issues finding a...
I used stinger speed wire to wire from the amp back to the head unit location. You would technically need to stinger speed wires to go to/from the amp to the head unit location to go out to the factory speaker wires.
Half the for11ck harness will have input speaker wires on it, ones coming from the head unit side, those get connected to the kicker input wires. The other half of the speaker wires in the for11ck get connected to the kicker output wires, wires in that harness should go into the connected on the...
@WxNerd2015 So after using this antenna mount for a while I am wondering how the antenna performance is? I have read lots of information on antenna placement and it is recommended to place the antenna in the center of the roof for the best ground plane. Do you notice any performance issues with...
I think a R-Pod (several different floorplans to choose from) or even step up to a little bigger and get a small hybrid ( Rockwood ROO 183/19 or Jayco Jayfesther, etc.) Would be a good choice for a couples trailer that would have capacity for grandkids as needed.
My ranger started having a bad shudder/studder a couple of weeks ago. Use to do it when cold but now does it randomly even after running for an hour or so. Also has extremely hard shifts from 7-8 or 8-7. Need to schedule an appointment to get it in and looked at, so far no codes have been...
I purchased mine from StealTech as well and I'm wondering the same thing now that you have shown that picture. I stuffed my box with Polyfill to get my sub some better bass response but it really needs to be a bit bigger of a box.
Hello 5gRanger community,
I have been on this forum since I purchased my '19 Lariat in April of 2019. After lots of research and notes from various posts on these forums I have successfully installed a 10" Kicker CompVT subwoofer paired with a Kicker Key 500.1 Mono block amplifier.
Parts...
I know I'm not @DriverA but I installed this Australian sub enclosure along with a Kicker Key 500.1 and it sounds great after I stuffed the box with some Polyfill because my sub needed a min if .8cu ft and the box is roughly .6cu ft. I have been meaning on doing a write up on the install but...
The more I listen to the sub the more I'm thinking it might be a combination of two issues. One the box is smaller than the sub likes (Polyfill should help) and two I think the actual enclosure might be flexing a bit, diminishing bass response. I'm going to pull the box and run some tests and...
