Mine had the orange tabs on the lower and it was a pain in the ass because the fitting it goes to is also plastic. I ended up twisting the tube so I could see the lock better and used a 90 degree pick to break the tabs, then it popped right off.
Draining should be fairly simple. Disconnect the two tubes and then it lifts right off the bracket and can be dumped out. I'll probably unscrew the top the 1st couple of times just to see
how much fluid is in there though.
Well, that can't be good haha. I hope I didn't just buy a $300 paperweight. Yours is exactly like mine and I don't think the Ford part is compatible in this configuration.
No sir unfortunately not. I'm taking about the sensor with the plug on it shown in the instructions. It should be just behind the red circle on the side of the tube but it's definitely not there.
?EDIT? I found a solution (a ridiculous one at that) I bought the tube with sensor for $35 From my dealer PN- KB3Z-6758-A. Then I just popped it into the new tube and away we go. The "A" is the sensor style tube. See the additional photos below.
At the risk of looking like an absolute idiot...
You're correct, normally it wouldn't be a necessity but this trailer is made for WAY more sketchy terrain than I'll probably ever drag it so it comes with them.
No, I'm not too concerned with that given I'll be towing a 600lb overland type trailer mostly on dirt roads. I know I'll need to drive on the hiway to get to those dirt roads but that's fine. Also, I don't think the dealership is aware of that option, as this is the exact model and part# they...
?EDIT. That should say Redarc Tow Pro Elite? I wonder how many people got absolutely robbed by the dealerships BEFORE the internet? My local Ford dealer quoted me $900+ to buy and have the Redarc controller installed. They said it was very complex and time consuming and there was the hole they...
When it warms up a little I'll give that a shot. I was freezing my ass off trying to get it in there and didn't think to loosen the light bar. I think it will still be blocking the intake somewhat but don't think it will make that big of a difference either way.
