Has anyone installed the avs in channel window vents yet? From looking at the window channel it doesn’t look like there is enough room.
I haven't yet, as I'm awaiting them to ship from my order that was placed on 3/25.

For anyone interested, this is the AVS Bug Deflector. The OEM one does not have a lip to send bugs and crap over the roof. The AVS has a lip to direct stuff over the hood.I know a lot of people won't consider a bug deflector due to aesthetics. I have installed one on every truck and/or SUV I owned. When you see crap and bugs being lifted over the cab it becomes valuable.

Ok, which model did you get? Is it the AVS II? I got the AeroSkin and didn't realize it's direct mount to the surface of the hood. Not really what I'm looking to do, ugh.

AVS Bug Deflector II. It uses the pins already on the truck...However, I used four metal screws and applied another seal under the AVS.

Just a word here. I did NOT use the clip pins that came with the AVS Install kit. I had to buy some 14G 1/2" Sheet metal screws. They want to replace a crapload of clips holding the hood gasket. I improvised with sheet metal screws. I don't know why they didn't use the square cutouts like all the AVS bug deflectors I purchased before..The existing trim pins are a PIA.
Sorry to bother but could you explain in a little more detail why you considered the furnished mounting "hardware" or method was something you did not want to go with. Mine is on order - no VIN yet - and I am wanting something like this and the lip that seems to be unique to the AVS is a desirable feature. The place that I am considering for a spray-in liner also is an AVS dealer so I wouldn't probably install it myself. Thanks. Also learned a new acronym - PIA :)

Let them install it. I was thrown off buy having installed them on my Tacomas. The procedure for the Ranger was different. I did send a note to AVS to send the pins. I am going to remove and replace the proper way if I can. My BugShield is held on with four metal screws. Id like to try the pin method.

Thanks for the pictures it is helping me to plan my installation. I ordered the AVS Bugflector II (25954) full height from Rockauto out the door for $62.83. I have a 2019 XL Ranger. I don't think I want the attachment points (tabs/screws) on top of the hood gasket as it appears to be in your photos. I was thinking tabs should be under the gasket.

Sorry to bother again. So my quote from the place I am probably getting my bedliner was $219 installed which cannot be correct considering the price of the product is around $70. The Lund/AVS site did not have an installation instruction sheet so I emailed them and got a same day response – see attached. Is this consistent with what you got?

Thanks - I don't think its worth over $219 installed to have them install but will talk to them about it. Really appreciate the help. Mine is to be Magnetic so should blend right in.
