This is total bull crap. I no longer own a Ranger but we service a lot of fleet 2019’s and they are amazingly reliable and owners/drivers swear by them. Same people that say the Rams are junk. They push Toyota because it fits the narrative. We service black hills energy ram 2500’s (6.4) with 300k miles and still not a single issue. Batteries, Brakes and oil changes. That’s it. It’s why I now own a 6.4 to pull our camper/boat. Bulletproof. Just like the Rangers.

Yep, ads in Truck Trader 30 years from now:
"Will trade mint original 1965 (now electric)Shelby Ford Cobra for 2019 Ford Ranger"
.....for Ford Ranger with FULL gas tank.

Full disclosure, I didn't read the entire thread.

I have a 2019, very early build, Lariat FX4 with 101,000 miles (About 5,000 of those off road). No real issues that aren't self inflicted, even nothing related to the 3" lift (and various forms of it) and 34" tires that has been on it since 5,000 miles. Its been a great truck.

Well it is Motorbiscuit. Generally when a group struggles to avoid putting forth incorrect information, especially with specs, I don't put a whole lot of stock in anything they say. And way too many of their articles have errors. And that's just the errors I see. So how many more do my eyes just skim over? Not a highly professional group IMHO.

Edit: After posting my comment I went and read the article. At the end he states that it might be better to go with the "2018 or 2020" model year Ranger.
I rest my case. Bunch of halfass idiots writing for that organization. No clue about their subjects.
Maybe by 2018 he meant no Ranger at all? JKYN...

He's obviously referring to members who carry large amounts/large loads of 303 products, carrying them on one side of the bed instead of spreading them out.
Probably more prevalent with those who load the 303 product on the same side as the damper...if you have a damper.
When loading, remember...damper is on the drivers side, so load the 303 on the right/passenger side.
Exactly the damper is on driver side, what were they thinking

Hot Car's 10 used cars to avoid are 100% Ford vehicles. What a hit piece if I've ever seen one. The competition's consultant can be proud of himself that he got this "published" and furthermore got a content-desperate MSN to triple-link it as if it's informative journalism.

Don't worry folks we can return to bringing up deleted items as per usual.

The article reads like hearsay. Did they follow up to see if the compliants were legitimate? Did they do the math of compliants Vs. units sold? Did they check if the compliants were repeated by the same individuals?

The writer may not be a Tacoma fanboy, but doesn't seem to like the Ranger. This type of poorly researched article is all too common, and becoming more so. We'd have no journalism today if yellow journalism were banned.

Poorly researched is right! In the end tells readers to buy 2018 or 2020 instead. Didn't know there was a 2018 in the US.

There was no 2018.

I'm thinking it's click bait, so they can twist the story to something else they want to tell you before they say why avoid it. and yes... I did read the article if you can call it that.

- and no worries, I have a '20, with all the goodies, So the bestest year!
