Interesting how the lug nuts are unpainted on the Sport Appearance Package. Magnetic paint would look better and match the rest of the wheel.

Great pics !!! Looks like there should be plenty of room to tuck in an air tank and horns.

Yeah but the first time you take it to the tire shop the workers there will ruin the paint the the impact wrench.

I like that black and silver paint job one!

Disappointed that their is no 2 wheel drive on display.

Very disappointed that they are using a 2-piece driveshaft with a carrier bearing. :(

But I love that red/orange color. Is that the Jalapeno Red? VERY nice color.

That is by design for better ground clearance on trails. I like it.

I don't think it is. Ford is notorious for using 2-piece shafts. Heck, they even used them on S197 Mustangs, which were promptly replaced by aftermarket 1-piece shafts by owners as soon as that carrier starts wearing out and causes vibration.

If Jeep can use a 1-piece shaft on JL/JT vehicles which are designed for the hardest trails in America, then Ford could use one on the Ranger.

Oh well... that's where the aftermarket comes into play I guess.

One of the initial videos posted here somewhere has an engineer walking around the truck pointing out features like that by design. He stated very clearly that it was for clearance. If you look at the numbers they use for the peak pitch that this truck can cover, it is great because the shaft does not get touched at the apex of the peak. Wish I could remember what that statistic is called.

[EDITED] It is called breakover. Just found it.
