i didnt read the article. dont need to. media and "journalism" is like special needs pornography. the ranger 5g is not perfect, shocker. i have driven a lot of pickups never have any of them been as well thought out and overall impressive as the 5g.

In today's world, anyone who takes media outlets or social influencers as gospel is a fool. Its fine to take what you read and store it away as one piece of the puzzle, but few do that.

Also in today's world the average consumer doesn't even think to ask basic questions, or in this case; "How many owners did you survey? And what percentage of total owners do they make?"

Even when some of my most trusted friends tell me something I almost always end up checking different sources on information and/or look at my personal experiences and see if its even something that is applicable to me.

i took some journalism courses in college and one of the profs always had a deep dislike for "mainstream" media. I would not say it rubbed of on me, but once i started to see all the silly rhetoric and forms of fear and persuasion mixed with ties to money / politics I decided to dismiss most media. Esp. social media

information literacy is a full-time job anymore. nobody is good at it because the landscape of sharing information is changing so quickly. there are so many layers of manipulation occurring simultaneously that it's simply impossible to keep track of it.

both of the really awful links I posted above were at the top of the search results, and there was no way for me to rate them as being shitty sources for the answers I was seeking.

I have a 2019 Ranger and love it. Most folks on this board love their truck too.

Drive it, enjoy it, if there is a problem down the road deal with it then.

I like the rotten tomatoes system where you have one ranking for critiques and another for the general public. It is hilarious how lopsided the scores are when compared to each other sometimes
