Ot sure what the power inverter has to do with it, but ASS can be disabled in Forscan on any trim level.

If you have the 110 inverter in your rear console, you can plug a nite light into it and it will disable it.

I forgot about that, I had Forscan so I just did it that way.

I purchased a young child on the black market and trained him to push the button every time the truck is started. He also gently lowers the tailgate for me when necessary.

You can unplug the little harness from the battery, takes about 15 seconds to pop the hood, raise the hood, press the release on the small wiring harness, close the hood, and you have accomplished the task.

I did that 3 months ago. Cancelled the problem and no issues from doing it. From what I can gather it keeps battery at full charge

I did mine the day I drove it off the dealer lot in November of 2019, had no issues in the 18 months I drove it. The tech who did the final inspection shared that little nugget with me.

I will add with the extreme gas shortage here in North Carolina, I might have to plug it in, that 0.1 mpg or whatever the EPA says it saves may be helpful right now.

Doesn't unplugging that connector have something to go with the BMS (battery management system)?

In the video, he "guessed" what it was for.
