I finally went on my first real highway drive. I averaged about 22 mpg!

I have been averaging 17.5, but that is primarily short city trips.
Same here, man, around town in the stop and go, I am always 17-plus. I have to take it out on the highway or freeway to break 18.0! And, yeah, I have a "Big Mouth" [the Velossa product, I mean] too!

Hey nice truck! a few quick questions.
1) did the 1" spacers get you 1"?
2) what do the Icon UCA's do for you? did they add to the lift at all?
3) the big mouth seems interesting, but they advertise 2MPG??? are you seeing any difference? I could use all the help I can get to get above 15 MPG (and I baby it) LOL

Thanks,
LB

1) yes, it is a static lift. 1" is 1" there is nothing to compress like a spring lift.
2) A UCA does not provide you with any lift. They allow for more articulation, more caster, different geometry to get back into alignment spec from a
lift, and can firm up the front end feel.
3) 2 mpg is probably bullshit. I just think it's cool. They do work though. Intake performance is all around efficiency (Stable flow), low temperatures, and volume of air (Huge generalization). Maybe I picked up .5 mpg. I'm not going to bother to try and measure.

I'm not a fan of Icon, but I got them on the group buy, so they were a big discount.

Putco Lower Grill insert. My only challenge was that I do not have a front plate bracket or bolts. I had to find some spare bolts in my pile that matched the thread size and pitch.

I'll order some replacements.

Can't wait to see what they look like.
Hold that thought the seller is being sketchy.

Ive been trying to pick them up. They are at a localish Ford dealer.

Paid with Amex so I'm protected if I need to back out.
