I bought one maybe 2'-3" long, from Amazon a couple of years ago. I didn't notice any change in sound quality. Th OEM one cleared the garage door by a couple of inches but always was a concern, now no worries.

I went the other way… found fm reception lacking, plus the fact the radio towers are a long way away..
20 inch Factory Style Antenna A294 from TheAntennaSource. Has really helped!

It's 20.00 on Amazon....I have seen way too many people getting the antenna ripped off etc ... I'm going with the stubby Jr....the short one...anyone have one? How's it work? Pics?
i bought it, and I’m keeping it for when I use cargo carrier. I did notice a little signal drop driving around so I’m not gonna use it full time.

I did purchase this because I will be hauling a canoe several times each summer. I put mine on yesterday (put the original in the glove box in case I determine it is needed during a road trip). Fit is good, no issues with reception around town.

I also have the CravenSpeed Stubby Jr. Works great, looks good, doesn't hit the yellow clearance pipe at the mall.

Ordered one Monday, came in today...21 second install time !!!

Update...seems to work just fine with over the air signals. But, I bought it primarily for the height issue as I listen to Sirius 100% of the time.
Old antenna just cleared my garage door with about 3 inches to spare. Stubby was a no-brainer addition.

Put the stubby on ... Just nearly clears the base. FM reception is pretty much unchanged as far as I can tell. I live in a town where if you go 5 miles in any direction, there is pretty much no civilization. We have stretches near me where it's 107 miles between gas stations (Green River, Ut to Salina, Ut).

I put the stubby on this morning and headed out to the Wide Open Spaces. I had my normal radio station (FM) all the way to Green River. From Fruita to Greem River is like 75 miles and there is only one gas station between those two places.

If I had a knock on the stubby, it would be that the box it came in is too small to store the OEM antenna. I like to store items I remove in the box the "custom" comes in (Yea, I know, anal).

I don't park in a garage, maybe after I get it cleaned out ... LOL ... but, I like the shorter look of the stubby.

Had to go with a Stubby. After the lift and tires it was constantly hitting the garage door. I always back it in, so before it finally snapped, I got rid of it.
