Is anyone running 93 in this cold weather?
I ran two of those 44 fuel system cleaners at the last 5000 mile intervals and have been topping off the tank with 93 the last month or so. I swear the truck runs better at 150,000 miles than it did new.!!!

I've been running premium (we can only get 91) since the day I bought my Ranger. 🏎

87 in mine now. Most just gets wasted warming up this time of year. Towing in warm weather I step up to 91.

I have the Ford Performance Tune so I run 93 but had been doing it for quite a while before the tune. My seat of the pants dyno tells me that the truck runs better on 93. YMMV.

The colder it gets the less octane I ran, same on the Hybrid. I run 89 unless we're towing in the cold weather.

Now in the summer it is 93 all the time for the added knock prevention.

I switched from running 87 octane to 89 in the latter part of Fall and going to the early part of Winter. Now that is all that goes in the tank is 89.

The 2.3 EB has OAR (Octane Adjust Ratio) and the engine does make more power on higher octane fuel.

Edit: Article about OAR

Filled up with Premium 93 (Only gas without Ethanol) for the truck to sit through the winter. I also added a bottle of Heat to be sure to remove any moisture in the tank. Did this for a few tanks before parking it for the next 8 months.

Sounds like a good move. Why parking if you can say?

Good call on adding Heat. I always add a bottle to mine every month or two because I don't drive it much anymore. One of those things my dad got me doing in the winters when living back east and have been doing it ever since. I't's good stuff.
