Looking good. I’ve had the same wheels and tires on for about six months and like them a lot but the back end does want to come out pretty easy with these tires. You’ll really enjoy the lift as well.
Original post at stock height:

Current with 2.5” icon and add a leaf 1.5” in the rear:

Thanks for the pics. Can't wait to do the lift. I suspect that the 'tail happy' behavior in the wet is as much a function of very little weight over the rear tires as the tires themselves. My '94 Lightning and '12 X-Runner Tacoma were about the same. Just gotta remember I'm NOT driving my '17 Mustang GT anymore!

Hey @HoosierT, was drilling required to install your rock sliders? I love the look and was thinking of getting a pair.

I like the feel of these tires/wheels. I'm aware of the trade-offs in mileage and noise, etc, but so far, I'm impressed. I'd had a few "Oh S**t" moments on turns with the OEM Hankooks in the rain, but none to report with the wider BFGs.

I just ordered my suspension , wheels, and tires.. Went with the KO2s, and the Icon Stage 3. Check my build thread in a week or so after I get them installed. Thanks for the feedback.

Only one hole on one side has to be drilled. There are two bolts per attachment, so eight total for installation. Only one hole drilled out of eight bolts so not bad. They could be used without that one bolt but only as steps, not sliders.

Just installed 285-70/17 BFG All-Terrain KO2s on FUEL Shok +20 wheels on my FX4 with BDS crash bars, but no lift....yet. To keep this post brief, the only rubbing I experienced was on the drivers' side front wheel well liner that I failed to correctly re-attach when I installed the crash bars. I pulled it back with a zip-tie and the rubbing was gone. Truth be told, I have already ordered (from Mountune) a set of Ford Racing Fox coilovers and shocks, so the present setup won't be around for long, but just wanted to add my experience to those who have already posted their wheel/tire install stories. FYI, the 285-70-17 tire DOES fit in the spare tire well.

Looks great! Can I ask where you bought your wheels? Wheel specs? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the kind words. Got the wheels at Panda Motorworks. +20 offset (stock is +55, I believe).

Another question please. I have BFG 285/70/17 tires and Fuel Shok wheels 20mm offset. Haven’t put them on yet. Will they work with the truck completely stock? I need to drive the truck to the shop to install the Pro Comp lift & crash bars and was wondering if it will be ok to drive it 20 miles. Thank you!

I'm pretty sure you would get some pretty nasty rubbing when turning more than halfway to lock - this just a guess, not a scientific estimate. Can you replace the fronts with the new setup and 'take her around the block' for a quick look-see before committing to a 20 mile trip?

I was going to reuse my tpms sensors. I’m thinking my stock sport wheels and my tires would be easier to sell separated.

WOAH! Stumbled across this thread AFTER I purchased the same wheels ! This is literally what my truck will look like. However, I also purchased UCA’s and the Fox 2.0 Kit- haven’t decided what tires to go with yet. Want 33’s , can’t decided Nitto RG’s or BFG’s KO2. LOVE THE LOOK

Planning on running the same setup but debating on 285 or 275s. Is 285 not too wide for a 9 inch width wheel ?
