Just installed 285-70/17 BFG All-Terrain KO2s on FUEL Shok +20 wheels on my FX4 with BDS crash bars, but no lift....yet. To keep this post brief, the only rubbing I experienced was on the drivers' side front wheel well liner that I failed to correctly re-attach when I installed the crash bars. I pulled it back with a zip-tie and the rubbing was gone. Truth be told, I have already ordered (from Mountune) a set of Ford Racing Fox coilovers and shocks, so the present setup won't be around for long, but just wanted to add my experience to those who have already posted their wheel/tire install stories. FYI, the 285-70-17 tire DOES fit in the spare tire well.

... with BDS crash bars...
Where did you get the BDS crash bars? I've searched their site and don't see them listed?

Love the look of your truck non lifted with the tires filling the wheel wells.

Here are two pics. One, of the clearance between the tire and the air deflector, and the other of the clearance between the tire and the front intrusion beam - both at full lock.

FYI, I found the BDS item on eBay after a search.

Good choice of tire (BFg KO2's). What was the difference in back space from stock wheels to the Fuels?

IIRC, the stock wheels are +55. while mine, at +20 push the centerline out enough to clear the suspension. There is actually more room now with the 285s than there was with the stock tires - much more. I'm pleased with the look. I like my trucks to look stout and capable. These wheels and tires fit the bill perfectly.

@Ranger305 your truck looks so good.
Thanks for the kind words @LightningBlue. I've got the FordRacing/Fox coilover kit ordered from Mountune and I hope it'll look even better lifted 2 inches in front - oh, and an inch in the rear with Eibach lifting blocks. I want to keep some of the rake - just my personal preference. And the extra bit of departure angle out back is an added plus.

Nice look. Question, how does the truck handle with the +20 offset? I know the scrub will be over an inch.

I like the feel of these tires/wheels. I'm aware of the trade-offs in mileage and noise, etc, but so far, I'm impressed. I'd had a few "Oh S**t" moments on turns with the OEM Hankooks in the rain, but none to report with the wider BFGs.
