Looks sexy as hell but:

The wheelbase of the new model has grown by 2.4-inches and overall length has grown by 4.7-inches compared to the old model. The longer overhangs mean the approach and departure angles are slightly degraded for the new 4Runner at 32 and 24 degrees respectively compared to 33 and 26 degrees for the four-wheel-drive fifth-gen. However, the nearly 20-inch shorter wheelbase compared to the Tacoma should give the 4Runner a big advantage over the pickup in breakover angle.
Worse angles and like everything else got BIGGER. Why does everything have to get bigger??? We're at the limit of what I can fit down trails already.

It looks… uhhhh… odd. Very mixed feelings on this. The wide body look with the fender flares just looked wrong. Maybe it’s the picture but this thing just looks like Toyota couldn’t decide what to do with it, aesthetically.

One thing is for sure: I’m so glad I have a 2018 sitting out in my driveway. Toyota is gonna have to work harder than this to get me to depart from my 5th Gen.

Hmmmm. I like the look of it but was hoping it would be powered by the same engine in the tundra (fat chance I know). If it could tow more around 10k let’s say I could see that being my next vehicle but it looks like I’ll continue looking at the tundra. Hard to give up both the bed and towing capacity, especially when I can’t afford or justify a big suv like the sequia or equivalent.

Friday yet?

Seeing what they did with the 2025 reassures me that picking up a 2024 back in December was the right move for me.

I'm digging the Trailhunter. Watched a few videos on it (basically all the same reviews ?. Toyota invited a bunch of youtubers to the same reveal lol) That package is right up my ally. Front end is kinda wonky though. Digging the interior and the "overland" features. Curious as to the rear layout for the non-hybrids, if that becomes additional storage or something.
