2024 Ranger gets pre-order discount

This might already be posted on the 6G forum but I don't participate there. Why is Ford discounting pre-orders? Maybe the competition between Ford and Toyota announcing their trucks at the same time is causing it. Anyway, good for anyone who wants to put in an order.

Yep, Ford is constantly sending me postcards in the mail offering an additional 1k rebate if I'll special order something.

I get mailers that say I can trade in my '21 for an identical '23, for only $50 more per month.

Somehow, I'd be surprised if they were "identical", as we all seem to be finding new "deletes" and random changes from one model year to the next, but what do I know?
$50 seems a bit much, but again we are all financially different so maybe that's not a big deal breaker for some.
Happy to keep my 0% financing til this one's paid off.

when i ordered/bought my 2019, there were no discounts at all.
they offered them later when sales were slumping.
effectively shoving it up the arse of those who put faith in the product sight unseen.
many bench sitting chumps were able to get their Rangers for a screaming deal months later.

Cant say Im excited for Ford making this decision, just another slap in the face.

$50 more is barely a drop in the bucket considering the inflation we've been through in the last 18 months so you're probably right, it isn't identical. I'm sure when the paperwork is finished, it'll be a lot more than $50 difference.

When I got those offers it would take another $7,000 to get the SAME truck, but without all the deleted items.

I got $1,250 off MP2 back in May. There was an email coupon code they had sent me which didn't expire until July 7th. The salesman had already found the same discount for me before I had a chance to tell him about the one I had.
