My 2020 Ranger will not keep the rear camera delay turned on. Also the radio comes on when I start the truck even though it was off when I turned the ignition off. These two problems just started a month or so ago. It is not a big deal, just an inconvenience. Have any of you had these issues and if so, how did you fix them?
Thanks!

You might try a hardware reset in the Sync menus.

Hmmm, on unlock or engine start, something activates something that checks something, that sends a signal to something that confirms something. That something works off the BMS, which also coordinates with the APIM (AM/PM on some models), the CDC, the NSA, the IRS, and the ACLU (if you have the Lariat trim level). Of course, they all answer to the PMS - as we all do.

Anyway, I think that’s what’s happening. I hope I’ve covered it but AT will likely be around soon to explain it a bit better.

That totally makes sense, Ford kept it simple.

Check for Update Sync for the Power Issue (On when truck starts) and for the Rear Cam Delay, check that you have it enabled - Sync -Settings-Vehicle-Rear Camera Settings - Delay

I have the delay turned on. It then turns itself off at some point.

Don’t rely on a wifi connection thinking Sync will find an update. Check your Sync build and if you have lower than build 23188 then update by USB from the Ford web site (or Cyan Labs if you prefer their process).
