Are you getting the OEM ones eventually though? I don't know if I'd be comfortable driving around with hardware store bolts holding the driveshaft on long term.

Bolts are graded for hardness, Just replaced some bolts on my sisters sportster and went to FASTENAL and bought the correct bolts. I know I would not be comfortable with the hardware bolts, heads aren't even the same. Got to go check my driveshaft bolts.

I'd replace them ASAP with something rated for 10.9 or better...those bolts from ace are likely 8.8 - that is the grade of bolt.
Driveline components are really needing the higher grade.

Dealership called me. Told me they got 2 bolts and to bring it on. I said ok. On my way to dealership they called me and said “don’t leave yet. The technician didn’t know he needed to stay and left” Better and better I swear.

and i know its minimal weight, from 17mm to 15mm....but at least put them opposite of each other to maintain some sort of balance while you wait for correct factory spec bolts.
wouldnt want more threads popping up about driveline vibrations.....
I totally agree.

What sucks is the whole reason I was under the truck was for the exhaust install. I removed the stock exhaust but now I need to remove the downpipe. I’m going to have to wait till I get the bolts I guess before proceeding with downpipe.

Definitely an issue to say the least. Something to keep in mind for most here, if you are missi g a bolt or two on the driveshaft(assuming not not directly across from one another) you will feel the vibration real quick qhile driving as the front driveshaft spins in 2wd too.
