2020 Ranger. 28,500 miles. Where is this leak coming from? What is it?

i did this once to an ahole harley rider, i kept randomly putting a bit of oil on the ground under his engine at work.

Your out of warranty on the Shocks, its 12k miles or one year.

Shocks are covered for 3/36

Do some pushups to get ready for installing the Bilsteins.

Compressing the Bilsteins is WAYYYY different than compressing the factory shocks

You might need to use a big flat blade screwdriver or a prybar to lever the lower shock eye into place.

But with that said, it is a very easy and VERY worthwhile operation.

I used a ratchet strap to compress the shock, my t-rex arms couldn't finish the job

just a bit? they might not notice just a little bit, except for the brief slippery feeling on their knuckles as they drag through it...

Since Bilsteins are under quite alot of pressure, and very hard to compress while installing, do they lift the bed height any? Its already too high!

Zaius is right... the install is super easy. 4 bolts no real need to lift the truck, but compressing the shock was a pita for me (eibachs). I had to muscle them upwards and have my daughter ready to push the bolt through. I'd suggest that extra person just to make the install a breeze.

We put a quart of gas in a guys VW Beetle everyday after he kept bragging about his gas mileage. He came in one day and said Holy Crap! Now I’m getting 70 mpg!

Bilsteins have a lifetime warranty. First upgrade I did to my FX4. Get them from Stage3. I put over 140k on my last set with zero issues.

Harley's don't leak oil, they mark their territory like a Wolf!

I may have jacked the body up when I changed the rears to try to get the axle to droop a little. I don't remember. I do remember using a jack to lift the shock up to get the lower bolt in. I wouldn't use a ratchet, all mine are from Harbor Freight!

I used my harbor freight trolley jack and a long screw driver. Between the 2 it was a one man job and very easy to do. Don't even mess with warranty. Just get either eibach or blistiens.

Hi everyone,
I called our closest dealer (55 miles) to check if it was covered under the 3yr/36k miles, as posted by Rp930 .
I called them today, after waiting for a couple of days, and they confirm it. The shock is covered. Thank you, everyone, again. I will be replacing it sometime next week.

Even if it's under warranty, I personally wouldn't drive 55 miles to get a factory shock put back on it unless I was planning on returning it to stock to sell it.
