So figure 20 bucks in fuel, 2 hours driving, 4 hour wait and lunch.
Upgrade, I’m sure you know someone that can help install them just for bragging rights or a 12 pack of beer. It will take way less time than just the driving AND you will be pleasantly surprised!!

Hi
I am back.
Sorry family issues postponed this project.
I found out that the trip to the dealer was just to inspect the shock. Then, the dealer will send a report to Ford to see if it qualifies for the replacement. If it did then I had to come back again to have the shock installed.
So, never mind.
I ordered two Bilsteins 5100 from Rockauto. Scheduled a time with a local car mechanic in two weeks ($110/hr). The total cost will be around ~ $330.00
Thank you all

I just put some 5160's under my new Smartcap. Very happy. You will be too.
Not only are you graduating from the FX4's, but from toasted FX4's. Big difference!

Enjoy!

That's the best way to go. Ford would have just put more of the same inferior shocks on it.
$110/hr. seems high, but it shouldn't take more than 1/2 hour. If he takes more time than that, he sure is not a mechanic worth $110/hr. and is probably milking you for more money.

Are you sure that puddle is not moisture from the muffler?

if you're married, you have to stoop to lower levels of deceit to convince the wife that upgrade parts are required.
A talented man could easily turn that moisture into a tune and full intake/exhaust system

I can see that. Myself I just buy whatever the heck I want. Separate banks accounts.
