If you are looking at competitors, make sure you read the reviews to see they are getting the expected mileage as well.Started to read some real world MPG reviews on the Ranger and I'm quite disappointed. One of the main driving features for me getting a Ranger instead of a Tacoma was the engine and MPG. Guess I'll see for myself when I get the truck next week. Class leading MPG is false advertisement.
I'm getting around 19mpg. But that is highway for 30 miles and backroads for 35 miles each day. As much as I know I shouldn't be, I hit the go-fast pedal every so often. I consider 19 to be right on the money for how I drive. I'm not surprised or disappointed in the slightest.
Plus, we are still using winter blend gas which does not get as good mileage as the summer blend.
