Don't park on perfectly level ground & it will never be noticed. Load the bed up with a bunch of crap then there is a reason. If someone notices tell them it's an optical illusion. Haven't really looked at mine to see if it leans.:headbang:
I was about to say the same thing.

I know when I park in my garage and the snow melts on my tonneau cover, it doesn't go to one side or the other, just pools in the middle. My bed is full of sand bags though.

Hi Steve,

I highly doubt NHTSA will take this up as a safety issue as it is not in my opinion a safety issue. Folks need to be careful when they throw around words like safety issue as fact when they are likely just opinion. When you state "Safety Issue", it should be with facts of why it is such, even if they are wrong. Even better if you are considered an expert in the field of the malady. ( I know....Ex is a Has Been and Spert is a drip under pressure).

The other thing is things can get very weird when you shim one corner of the vehicle as you will to some degree transfer weight to the diagonally other wheel on the other end of the truck. This may be insignificant but with out corner weight scales you do not know how much. Worse would be if you shimmed the left rear and now the front grill is off kilter. Also, shimming the rear might put the U bolts with not enough thread engagement of the U bolt nuts. Rule of thumb is that you want three threads exposed as the first three threads are not always perfect... I wonder if the referenced shim kit comes with slightly longer U bolts? IDK if the kit contains more that a shim...

best,
Phil
Phil, I totally agree. NHTSA would never look at this unless it was the cause of accidents or injuries caused by the "lean"
This is simply a visual distraction, not a safety concern.
I only brought it up as it is a better alternative than a "class action lawsuit" which would go absolutely nowhere. Once NHTSA looks and dismisses it, no law firm would ever look at it.
And, to take it a step further, the OP stated his Ranger was modified, which is a third strike against him ever finding someone to go forward with it, including Ford.

Can anyone confirm if this is happening on all 2019-2022 models? If this is a design issue then most (51%) should be having this lean issue. Of course, some peoples attention detail is not like others, so they may think it looks fine, or measure and check it on uneven surfaces.

While it sucks you're going through this IMHO a class action lawsuit is pointless. You're going to get pennies on the dollar and some lawyer will be the only one getting rich off of this. I've done a few of these over the years and I've never seen the people who deserve the money get their fair share.
Exactly. And he has modified his suspension. Attorneys on the other side will use that against him. Anyone planning on suing anyone; you need to have a clean argument that does not give the opposing party a hole to suck your argument through. My 2021 Ranger Tremor is level and I do not see the issue that the OP described.

Something I haven't seen brought up, and that is in most cases complaints are about 1/2-3/4 inch. Could be something as simple as a minor problem with a shock being a bit shorter on one side, or even a leaf spring or coil spring being arched a bit low or coiled a bit tighter than the other.

I have the lean on my 2020 Ranger FX2. I put Fox 2.0s in the rear. It bugged me for awhile but learned to live with it. Can they void it since I put different shocks? I would like to have this issue fixed, but doesn’t really matter to me because I’m going to do the rear soon.

Get something like this for a pet, and make them sit in the right side of the bed.

This looks exactly like my neighbour’s French Bulldog, which gets WAY too many treats.

First of all. Calm down, Karen.

Second, check the + and - markings in yellow on your factory leafs. You should have + on the drivers side and - on the passenger side.
Wow...I didn't know that.
Mine is level, but just out of curiosity, where would those markings be located ?

I'm not just a douche bag. I help every now and then.

Ford marks springs on the taller side of spec with a +, shorter end of spec with a -.

As you can see mine had 2 +s and a factory lean as delivered. My global leaf packs came with the proper + and - and the lean was gone after the lift, shims completely removed.
