I have seen ads for attorneys asking about trans issues but surprised we dont have a class action yet. Some people are paying out of pocket for a defective component.

Ford warranties are a Scam....
there are other industries that are aware and are in on it too!
the issues I have seen in my 21 with 45k on it have been mitigated by just driving in Sport mode (S) it holds a higher RPM before shifting and is much more responsive than (D) at first when I got the truck I would hit the Trailer button when I started it if I had one on or not, now its second nature to just bypass (D) for (S)

Yeah, I always do tow mode or sport as well. Maybe a 1-3 shift is fine on a stock ranger but the Tremor 32" and now my 33", the shift is not ideal at all so I always do either tow or sport as well. I tend to get better MPG in tow and it keeps sport mode feeling fun when I do not daily in sport.

Most of my trans shift issues have been in the winter when it is pretty cold, might get a hard downshift. The other day in basically summer weather the trans was probably still only 100F and I got a hard downshift in a parking lot.

Kinda thought, huh maybe my trans will go out while I still have the extended warranty after all lol. almost at 60k miles. New engine at 50k. New trans soon will make for a nice drivetrain lol.
