That sounds like it would be perfect. I have no idea how to do this but I probably would if I had the ability. Just unhooked the battery tonight to reset the adaptive learning so I’ll see how it goes.
I can fix it for you if you decide you can't stand it anymore.

This is the first thing I fixed on my truck, once I got the first 1,000 mile assessment out of the way. I made a new map for fixing this with the transmission in Drive mode. I wanted something between Sport and Drive, without all the engine braking of tow mode. My truck is much more enjoyable to drive now.

How do I do this?!

Try driving in only tow or sport mode...just do away with the regular drive. At low speeds in drive especially when turning my 2021 almost always studdered and felt like it was going to stall.
Stopped using "drive" after a few days and now always use tow mode...first button I hit right after the auto start/stop button.
Tow mode will eliminate the slow speed/turning problems, and driving in tow mode all the time will not hurt the tranny.
Same goes for sport mode, but tow mode is more mpg friendly.
Tow mode also turns off auto shut off

I'll send you a PM.
I have Forscan, and I'd appreciate knowing which setting turns off the 'learning', too. While I appreciate good mileage, I live in the mountains. Going up a grade (which is ALL THE TIME) The whole 'push on the throttle, nothing', push more on the throttle, nothing', 'mash the pedal, "Oh, you want to go somewhere!, drop three gears, spool up the turbo, then tire smoke' is getting pretty old.

I don't think turning off learning is going to change that behavior honestly..... Sport or tow mode will change that behavior.

FORscan won't help here. I tuned my transmission to behave like I wanted. I understand the mountain driving... I used to live in Coal Creek Canyon.

Ha! I'm just over the hill in Ned. (Moving to Tabernash likely next year. Done with BoCo.)

We moved out last year. I miss where I lived as it was pretty nice, but Denver isn't what it used to be. I'd go to Ned when I needed nuts and bolts. It was actually a shorter (time-wise) drive to go to the Ace Hardware there, than it was to go to one at the bottom of the mountain.

Yeah, when i was in Colorado, i just drove around in tow mode. Much better experience than regular drive. Regular drive is made for eastern Colorado. Lol

You can also drop gears while in drive with the toggle on the gear shift. Knock out the upper gears if you are climbing a lot.
