Bitch bitch and bitch, rpms too high when traveling 120 mph, tranny doesn't warm up instantaneously, misses gears, etc.

Now in the olden days of yore when 2 speed trannies were the norm and 3 speeds a luxury - you knew you had a legit complaint when your vacuum modulator failed and ATF was sucked into the engine and produced plumes of grey smoke, ask me how I know this.
Love that powerglide!

Get the Livernois tow tune and you will see 2nd even if you breathe on the throttle to get it moving.

Might be cheaper to hit the button to do the same thing... But.. mo powa baby! Yeah!

My 2020 Lariat shifts from 1st to 3rd. Any recommendations?
If you push the pedal down at a very specific point in the middle it will shift 1-2-4. I have found it recently and can get it to do it every time. Remember these are just advanced 6 speeds that lock up multiple gears at once to make 10 ratios. Skip shifting is normal.

BTW.....no offense to anyone with the "Fuel In Oil" problem....but has anyone actually heard of anyone having engine issues due to this phenomenon? I'm calling it that because of the mysterious nature of the issue.....
Just a yes or no will suffice.....I'm not trying to start a whole other discussion on a subject that has been beaten into submission....lol

To stay on topic.....skipping gears in our 10 speed is normal....

Not yet. Not mysterious as it happens to most DI(Direct Injection) engines if I'm not mistaken.
Should we all go & reread 'I blew a rod' thread?

Well it seems like the only folks that have major engine issues from performance upgrades go deeper than exhaust systems. Downpipes and turbo upgrades seem to put too much stress on the low end of our 2.3L, at least that's what I'm reading. Installing a OTS tune doesn't seem to push too much. I've been running the hottest Livernois tune as a daily driver for several years and more than 50K without so much as a hiccup.....
It's hard to explain how my Ranger feels everytime I get out on the road....even at 90K she wants to run! You can feel it, even at low speed.....
It's funny but I would love for every Ranger owner to see what it feels like to drop a hot tune in their truck and take it for a romp down the road. There is such a huge difference in the power of a stock truck vs a tuned one...and our Rangers are pretty peppy as a stock truck.....
Just my 2 cents.....

Sport mode is as close as i can get to a tune right now, but imo , every single thing about this truck is better with more RPM's , i dont mean red lining it all the time , just my normal drive is MUCH better when in sport , even shifts better , truck hates anything below 1500 rpms and grumbles about it , as do i...

Bein a control freak, sometimes I just drive in sport mode and shift myself, no skipping 2nd gear. On hiway, going up hills, in "D", the tranny will wait longer to downshift, then skip from 10th to 8th. I find I can squeeze a bit more from a drop of gas by manually downshifting to 9 before it would skip to 8. Then get up the hill fine.

Mine does that also. Regular acceleration and it goes 1-3-5. I have found though, as someone else pointed out, that I can get 1-2-4 depending on how I feather the gas pedal. And I've also noticed that it is more likely to shift 1-2-4 if I'm going even slightly uphill and accelerating conservatively. All of this is normal. I've put almost 2500 miles on my truck so far and I have zero gripes about anything. If I had to be super nitpicky I would wish sometimes that my truck would start from a dead stop in 2nd without shifting manually. But that is being really picky.
And regarding the gas in the oil thing, I'm aware that this is a potential issue. I check all fluids in my vehicles once a week (always done this with any car I've owned) and it probably looks funny if someone is watching me sniff the dipstick with a great deal of scrutiny, lol. So far I've not detected any sign of gasoline. What causes that anyway?
Thanks
