That's gonna leave a mark!

Oh shit is right! What the hell was he thinking, I think I'd rather try bouncing off the rocks instead of letting go?

I think he simply froze in fear... then realized the inevitable and attempted to avoid it. He would have done better to hang on and take the hit.

He had 3 options, jump just prior to the full extension and hit the water, hang on and take the hit, or let go on the way back. He took the worst option! And he paid the price. He's lucky if he wasn't severely injured.

Does anyone know where that was taken? It looks suspiciously like a lake up in Washington state - Colchuck Lake that gets a LOT of people in the summer - it is kind of weird since it is a 5 mile hike to the lake - but I've heard on a nice summer day there can be 300 people there.

I can't believe he just let go - that was quite a hit and quite a fall.

I drove my Wheel Horse tractor off a 5' retaining wall, and did a severe number on me! That guys hit was FAR worse.

Slow the speed down (using the arrow to the right) to 0.5 and it looks like he face planted the rock! I'd really hate to see what his face look like after this as he some speed going on the way back!

I don't know where this was I just found it on another forum and no one said where it happened.

I remember your story. I always pucker when I am mowing with my zero turn on a 20' cliff, that if I fell would put me right on a busy road.

WOW! Hit forehead face forward! I 'm surprised it didn't knock him out cold. He has to have had a severe concussion! That HAD to be painful. He slid face down head first the last 5'-10'. And the sat up!

Yeah, the wife banned me from going any closer than 1 cut width from the wall. I'm back to using my 20 year old Honda push mower to get in close now. It is safer...

And I opted to never touch alcohol before heading out to mow.

Yeah I never understood seeing guys mowing with a beer and sometimes I'd see a small cooler next to them too.

I always had a no alcohol rule when on my street bikes and sleds. I rode with several different groups of guys and there was always that one or two who had to stop at every bar and have a drink. It got to the point we were in a bar more than we were riding so I stopped going out with them. By the end of the day they were looped and it was way to dangerous and I didn't want them anywheres around me. The final ride with them one almost fell over at a stop light just waiting for the light he was so drunk. 🤦‍♂️

That's why lawn tractors now have cup holders!

Personally I've never touched the stuff... I am stupid and dangerous enough without alcohol... Who else do you know that drove his lawn tractor off a 5' retaining wall sober??? (discounting me!)
