Seems like you might be in the minority here. By the sample of replies seems most Rangers are fun and adventure vehicles before daily drivers. So glad to hear you have 150k trouble free miles. Based off my other Ford trucks I am expecting the same will just take me 20 years to get there, but the truck may out live me.
I rescue and transport eagles, owls, hawks, osprey, and an occasional blue heron and transport them to a rehab facility. I also make rat runs from Virginia to Maryland for the rehab facility and that trip is 450 miles round trip. It adds up quick. And it doesn’t help when you live out in the boonies and it’s 38 miles to the grocery store. Hey, but it’s quiet here……. 😁

Wow. My blue beauty will be 3 years old at the end of this month. Only about 600 miles away from hitting 50K. Hate it has the miles on it already. But have LOVED driving those miles!

Pros and Cons of living in a small town in the middle of nowhere..!!!

CONS

•you gotta pack an overnight bag to go for groceries and take a cooler and a lunch with you

•the only grocery store anywhere near your remote location is Dollar General

•you buy groceries with the longest expiration date you can find so they don’t expire on the drive home

•you gotta have a half a tank of gas left just to go to the gas station to fill up

•you gotta talk really loud on the phone calls and keep the string tight as you ask Flo at the closest operator switchboard to connect you

•you still have pay phones down town by the traffic circle

•if you need first responders, you gotta give them an hour heads up notice

•you gotta buy appliances that run on less than 110 volts cause you are at the end of the line

•when the power goes out and you tell them where you are, they just go HUH

•the sun takes an extra hour to get to you in the morning

•FedEx will drive right past your house seven times and then send you a ā€œpackage undeliverableā€ notice

•you have to have both a physical mailing address and a post office box number which just confuses the hell out of anyone sending you stuff

•the pony express still brings your mail to the post office, sometimes, so you can’t order anything too heavy

•Lowe’s, Home Depot, and ACE are three counties away so plan your projects well

•you laugh uncontrollably when the doctor says can you be here in thirty minutes

•the Door Dash driver asks is that address in the lower forty eight

•when you type your address into the UBER app, you get an ā€œout of service areaā€ message

•you turn off the unmarked somewhat paved road to get to your drive way

•you will undoubtedly meet a tractor taking up all three lanes of a two lane highway once or twice a week

•you begin to hear banjo music on the way to your house

•the TV news is always one day behind by the time it finally gets to the rabbit ears on your TV

•when someone asks if you saw the lunar eclipse last night, you tell them ā€œno I’ll catch it tonightā€

•you have to vote six months early so the ballots will get there in time to be counted

•it takes you two hours just to watch 60 Minutes

•your three year old truck has 100,000 miles on it

PROS

•it’s quiet there

•nothing ever happens

•ummmmm

•it’s quiet there

•nothing ever happens

•ummmmm

•it’s quie, well, you get the message

My extended warranty is up in 1 month or 3000 miles. I do have a lifetime powertrain warranty from the dealer. The one reason I take it to the dealer for all maintenance.

At 150,000, I think I’m past warranty. Just had it in to Ford for complete fluid change front to back yesterday. It goes in every 5000 miles for whatever it needs.

My 22 is at about 7500 miles with 2 months to go. No worries, bought the 8 year $0.00 deductible warranty. My wife's Subaru is more fun to drive in the snow without the jumping the Ranger in 4wd gives on turns. If insurance keeps going up I may dump them both and just get a bigger suv because the Rangers bed is basically useless requiring the trailer for most things.
