Saturday we went to the home show up in Tucson and it was really small and one of the worst we’ve ever been to.So we made a Costco run then stopped at the San Xavier Del Bar Mission church on our way home. We went here back in the summer but it was 106 outside and we didn’t get to really see or enjoy it and Saturday was a perfect 70 degree day. It’s just 9 miles south of Tucson, not far off the highway (19) and is free to the public. Construction began in 1783 when Southern Arizona was part of New Spain and was completed in 1797 and remains the oldest intact infrastructure in Arizona. We always try and stop in and visit old churches when we travel as the architecture is amazing, especially when they had no modern amenities back then. This one does not disappoint and a must see if you're even down this way and appreciate architecture and detail like this.
