About the same on the Eastern side of CA.Here in Commiefornia, we’re still well above $4/gallon. Cheapest in my town right now is $4.59.
In California, a new gas blend was introduced this past July that is supposed to reduce emissions by only a very small percentage. Some studies said it would increase the cost of gas by up to .65 cents per gallon due to the additional refining required, while others said an increase of .10 - .15 cents was more likely. Gov. Gavin Nuisance's new government fact-check site states all these reports are false and that gas will actually be cheaper.
All I know is that when gas prices across the nation started dropping around that time, our prices started going up and kept that trend until just recently. I think his website needs to be called the Fact Checker Spin Zone.
Yes, California has the highest state gas taxes of any state, by far. To make matters worse, we import a large share of our oil, even though California holds some of the country's largest reserves. It's also illegal for California gas stations to buy cheaper gas from across state lines since we are the only state with special winter and summer blends for emissions. The icing on the cake is that one of the few major refineries here is shutting down at the end of this year due to overregulation, and another is shutting down at the end of April next year. It will reduce our gas production by approximately 19%. Some are estimating we may achieve $7 gas prices next year.Don't forget to blame politicians for the taxes on gas. It's quite a bit. When gas in Colorado was $3.25 or so, the actual cost of a gallon was $2.15. Some is profit, gas stations are a business, but most of it is taxes. Newsom also snuck a mileage tax on top of your gas tax so... That should be fun. The worst part of California getting screwed is that Colorado loves to play Little California and do the same dumb shit you do.
There are many states with winter/summer blend of gas. not sure if it's the same, but we do have it.Yes, California has the highest state gas taxes of any state, by far. No, it's not the same. Ours is the "emissions special" blends, explicitly made to meet the California Air Resources Board's specifications. There are many states with winter/summer blend of gas. not sure if it's the same, but we do have it.

Colorado adopted CARB a few years ago.No, it's not the same. Ours is the "emissions special" blends, explicitly made to meet the California Air Resources Board's specifications.
