Thanks David,

Maybe it’s an iPhone thing but there is no ability to add an Owner Service Record in my app. :(

Probably stuck at Customs waiting for the tariffs to be paid. 🤑💰

I already give my government enough taxes, I certainly don’t want to give them anymore. In fact, it’s now payback time - starting this month, the Canada Pension and Old Age Security cheques start arriving.

As a bonus, there will be pension payments from previous employers and a provincial top-up, free prescriptions and dental too.

Man, I should have gotten this old way sooner! ;)

:stop: Nothing is free! You paid for it for years with all those high taxes. lol

I'm only 61 and can start taking SS in July if I choose to. I'm going to try and hold out until at least 65 (67 is FRA) or 70 if possible. I have longevity in my family and for me it's more of an insurance against inflation in my later years. But I'm going to monitor it every year and see what the numbskulls in Congress do year after year. I'm not worried about it going away (or being depleted) because there's so many false accusations out there and most don't understand how it's actually allocated.

I think those taxes went for our great “free” medicare. 🤦‍♂️

Similarly, we’re eligible at 60 and can defer to 70 on the Canada Pension. I think most take it at 65 because it aligns with their retirement from their jobs.

65 seems like the sweet spot for most. But many take it way too early at 62 because they say "what if I die"? I always say "what if you live"? Breaking even is the least of my concerns, when you're dead you're dead who cares

I know several who took it at 62 and now in their 70's (and older) and regret it because their checks are so much smaller and now they have medical bills they didn't count on having. Unless you have medical issues and/or a bad family medical history it's better to wait as long as you can.

I had a tire rotation and re-roadforce balance done to my KO2s. I've only driven 5000 miles since I had them installed in July '23. I also had the brake fluid flushed and replaced.

To add to that, waiting can also benefit your surviving spouse when you kick because the survivor’s benefit here is something like 60% of the deceased spouse’s pension. So if you wait, that will be higher too.

Of course, some folks really need it early from a cash flow standpoint. I guess that’s why they’re as flexible as they are.

I’m just glad they’re in place.

Gave it a much-needed detail, which included a clay bar, 303 Graphine Nano Spray Coating, and installing a new Truxedo Sentry CT hard roll-up tonneau cover.

Oh, I did the entries on a laptop via Ford.com ...but they do show up in the app, haven't tried from the app yet.

What version of the app shows on your profile page Bob? I have no “Add” or “+” button on the service page - what steps were involved?
