Getting salt on my truck is definitely something I don’t have to worry about lol. When we do get snow it’s once maybe twice a decade. None of the counties around even have any equipment for snow. If it does snow it turns to ice rather quickly. Watching people try and drive on ice is a show like no other😂

If anything, I run mine through the carwash a lot more in the winter than I do in the summer, but that's mostly so that I don't get too much rock salt build-up eating away at it.
I used to have company cars when I was a rep for Rothmans - huge logo running down the side - company said to wash it every day, twice if needed (expensed) - billboard on wheels. When I had my first non-company car, there was a coin-op wand wash a block from home - every winter night, I plunked in four quarters and gave it a good rinse before going home for the night - old habits.

I might need to put some of the super special 303 wonder sauce on it😂. Honestly, with dirt roads and muddy trails it’s a loosing battle lol.
Ding ding ding! The dirt road and the sand haulers, sod haulers and farm equipment that are constantly on the Farm Market roads around here is why my truck has the same outer coating on it that my Grandpas old farm truck had on it. But, I'm so used to it, it's become part of the look of the truck.

Same here, it was in the shop all day, but worth it. Bilstein 5100s, fronts at 1.8. Rides and drives so much better.
Why didn't I do this sooner?

Looks great!! Gold wheels really look great on a black truck!!
Thank you buddy! I really appreciate the compliment. I'm leaving the stock size tires on it. She still has make 100 mile round trips from home to work and back.

Holy crap! 16 months later .... I was able to create a service entry on my Ford account!

I had tried, back then, to enter a "self-service" record, but it kept saying, "Oops, something went wrong. Try again later."

At the time, others here on Ranger5g were having the same issue. So I gave up on it.

This morning I got my ever-so-useful Monthly Vehicle Details report and thought I would try again.

This time I forgot to put in my Notes for that August 23, 2024 self-service:
New OEM Motorcraft cabin air filter FP88 (KB3Z19N619A) $33
New OEM Motorcraft engine air filter FA1943 (EB3Z9601B) $27

And the record saved! Wow, almost better than winning the lottery or making a dump run!

Then I tried to edit the record to add those notes. The record opened up and I pasted the filter info in and hit save. It again said: "Oops, we suck and we don't care ..."

So I refreshed the page, took out my notes, and then it saved!

David, did you do this in the FordPass app or online?

This was online, I never thought of using the app. Now I'll go check that out! =)

It works better from the app! I was able to add an entry and notes, and save!

The 8/24 entry is via the app - thanks @DukeCanBuildit! =)

It was last night but I finally got to wash my truck! I hate to admit it but it’s been almost 4 months since I last washed it. Between traveling out here to look at houses then packing and moving then getting the house squared away I finally had time to give it a good wash and detail. Luckily I had given it a full detail with Graphene and the Graphene Detailer the last time so it wasn’t really all that bad.

:inspect: I went over every inch twice so no spots were missed. lol Hit it with a coat of 303 Graphene Detailer and it’s as good as new again.

Another small delay that kept me from washing it was I needed to add a spigot off my water softener. The water in AZ is very hard and has a lot of calcium in it and I didn't want to run any water through my power washer without doing this first.

I added a little extra snow foam to this wash.

I love standing back after a good detail and admiring it. :inlove:

It looks like it just left the showroom. Maybe better.

I love how in AZ, the driveway is almost completely dry less than an hour after washing and rinsing the truck.

All that Graphene keeps it looking showroom new! 😜

An hour, it was a lot less than that. lol It only takes me about 45 minutes to wash my truck with the foam cannon and power washer then dry with a chamois. I finish detailing it inside the garage and really love this one. It's 27' long so I can easily get all around my truck with the garage door down without being crammed into something. Plus it's been really nice here the last couple weeks with days in the upper 70's and nights around 47 with 18-20% humidity. Everything dries fast here which is nice unlike the wet sponge feeling when we were in AR.
