[The Last Ranger]

Bought my 21 Lariat at the end of Dec. 21 and now have 1566 miles on it, as I didn't drive it in the winter, nor now I don't drive it in the rain. I have an 01 Sport Trac to do city and bad weather driving. Not planning on driving this coming winter except warmer dry days. Its called babying it to the max!!!!

I got my 2021 in July 2021. Have 3800 miles right now! Have a small commute to work and many home depot trips

Hopefully this next year schedules will be better so we can get back to off roading.

The rear end fluid comes out nasty by the miles were at, same thing with the t-case. I just don't want nasty fluids. I'm definitely an over-maintainer in some ways. Fresh fluids are cheap peace of mind, at the very least.

In another 25-30k I'll have the rear end and t-case done again, as well as the front axle and I'll start exchanging my transmission fluid. Then I won't worry about any of it for 50k.

I'm gonna be in this truck for the long haul, I'll gladly "pay more than necessary" in maintenance to ensure it's mechanical bits have pristine fluid.

Keep a spare transmission on hand. - maybe a Turbo and timing chain as well. My extra maintenance efforts did not help.

Mostly highway and farm market roads with a little bit gravel road driving just to get off the beaten path every now and then.

My 2019 had 48k miles when I bought it now 62k. Transmission shift from 3 to 4 is kinda jerky sometimes but I’ve accepted someday I’m gonna need to replace it.

Although I did just see in consumer reports magazine under cons for the Ranger they put “awkward/clunky shifting” so maybe that’s just how the truck is supposed to be, at least, that’s what I’m going to tell myself as to not lose my hair

My 2020 xlt has 42,680. Has 29756 when I bought it 2 years ago.( Dec 23).

Bought Dec 2020, only 60k. Wife used it to go to work,. now she uses a Kona ev. I've only used it for 5k since February , work from home & I use my sport car in summer. Lets see how much I use it this winter. (All in miles, not km).
