Another day on the lake. =)

Summer's winding down here in New England so getting out on a beautiful day is huge. At our fave place, Pawtuckaway Lake, which has a 2-acre island that we let Cheech, and now Kota, run wild on.

Lots of beaver-downed trees and pine needles so thick it's like walking on a mattress.

Why didn't you come in for food and water before wasting away like that.

On a side note, you clearly have the well-known seat edge wear, caused by the seat belt. There are mitigation options for that if you care.

Ruh roh! What is this seat edge wear you speak of?!?!?

Great. Now I have to search the forum while I worry about something else on my baby.

It's from the seat belt as it is pulled and retracted over that spot on the seat. I bought a soft belt cover thing that goes over the belt and fastens to itself with velcro. The cover stays put while the belt is pulled through it.
You could also get a seat cover that is wide enough to cover that spot.

Searched the forum and of course ran out to look at my truck. Zero issues thank goodness.

In one of the discussions I found, a guy said he thought it was also related to where you kept your seat adjusted, closer to the wheel or farther back. I’m guessing he may be right. I keep my seat all the way back and after 45K miles have no wear spots. Fingers crossed it continues.

I keep my seat back all the way too. I noticed slight wear when the discussion first came up, so I got a belt cover to prevent further wear.

Weird. You’d think this issue would be consistent. My seat shows zilch.

Guess I’m just receiving the payback for all that good clean living I do. :bandit:
