Did a base for firepit.

About ton of peat soil, half a ton of crushed lime and another half ton of sand. Peat & sand is there for the grass to grow at later point of time and lime is for the looks and for the alcalic PH so next to nothing local grows there.

Bit over 6 feet in diameter.

There is a root barrier of course and rainfall will level it further.

In begining I'll put my 3 feet firepit there, but thinking about upgrading to a larger raised one at some point.

Ranger did the material transportation.

Took it to Ziebart for the annual touch-up. New truck smell is back.

Been getting everything rustproofed the last several years. The liquid calcium chloride they put on the roads now is a lot more corrosive than the old rock salt and sticks to cars like Velcro.

After driving some time and hitting 10% on the tank, I took it for fill up and after putting full tank of Diesel the error went away.

Let's see if it reappears or if I just got bad diesel for a tank.

Edit: Nope, after 3 drivers the same error. Probably some wonky sensor somewhere. Let's hope the dealer comes back from holiday next week and aswers the phone. (Been calling and always get to the automated "Sorry, we'll call you back" message).
Got the dealer on to phone. Ran the remote diagnostics and said that oil life is fine, but oil level is low, so we drove to shop and bought a half a glass of oil for the Ranger. Not low enough for oil pressure light, but low enough for cryptic yellow light without any explanation.

Damn stupid car if it can't tell the user that oil level is low in the display like any normal car. And what's with the FordPass, shows just "reduced power" error without any actual codes. Even my lawnmover is more informative.

On the dipstick that's two dots over the low line (in technical terms 2dl left, added 8dl to full).

I get your frustration! I have zero knowledge of the diesel engine used outside of the US in the Ranger. I know the gen 2 7.3L PowerStroke and the 6.0L PowerStroke diesels in the Superduty will shut off when oil volume is too low to run the injectors and the high pressure pump. That is a failsafe to prevent ruining the engine. Happened to my dad's 7.3. Wouldn't start back up until we topped it off. He had some o-ring leak. Once fixed all was good. I would think yours has sensors to the same affect but maybe it's a type of "limp mode" to protect the motor as well. I'm guessing as I know nothing about your motor. Hopefully this was just a learning experience and checking the oil level occasionally will cure it unless there's a leak you haven't discovered??

Nothing wrong in having a sensor and alerting the users. But just having an alert without any indication on what the alert is is poor practice. Makes one think that there's something wrong instead of just simple stuff.

Didn't even bother to check the oil level as informing about it is a norm nowdays, and even if I had checked it, I would not have done anything based on the actual oil level vs expected next change.

Totally pointless false positive.

P.S. Even with the reduced power alert on FordPass, the actual power was not reduced in anyway and there was no issues in driving.

I hope that’s all it is. Fingers crossed.

I had to run some errands in Goderich, a town 50km south down the lake and site of the wold’s largest active salt mine. While gassing up on the way back, there was an Iconic Silver Ranger Tremor on the opposite side of the pump - nice looking truck - had some fancy Alpharex headlights too.

Turns out, it was fellow Ranger5g member, @MagneticRanger .

Being colour-blind, I can’t tell blue from purple or brown from green but this is the first I heard of someone having trouble with two different shades of grey. ;)

Actually, he used to have a really sweet Magnetic SuperCab…

FTW!

This was my first new vehicle ever purchased!

I miss the 6' box... sometimes you just don't know what you have until it's gone.

A great chance encounter with Duke...caught me at the Mobil/Esso where I get that sweet 93 octane.

Duke's setup is something else very impressive...tasteful and more imposing than my tremor hahah.

Ranger owner from '19 through present
