Update: On Friday I took the Ranger to the Ford dealership. It has bee there one full day. The service advisor told me that the oil was low and verified if they could do an oil change on it. I am wondering where that is coming from because the other shop did not mention anything about that.

Well this is a case of something I overlooked and missed as the first post I read oil had been changed this would include the filter, as a clogged filter could be the cause.
However after reading it again, I now understand that the (solenoid) was changed and most likely did not top off the oil after replacement. The most likely reason for low oil level.
But if there is a major oil leak, both internal or external that would also be a possibility of low oil pressure.
Sorry, but I ASSUMED, if a mechanic was going for a drastic part change , he knew what he was doing. The oil change should have been step 1 of the T-Shoot or at minimum replace the filter.
2nd - you have stated that your Fan Clutch wire harness shows evidence of damage , this needs to be (closely) investigated, as damage on this harness will cause a long list of codes, including low oil pressure messages and limp mode.
I am glad to hear , you have taken this to another shop , as shop #1 skipped some basic T-Shooting steps that I Assumed were completed.
The most important test, is a true oil pressure test with a external gauge, has that been done?

I brought the truck home yesterday (3 days) and had it for an hour and the check engine light came on. Shop put on a new engine oil pressure sensor connector and replaced a damaged wiring/pigtail. I was advised that their best tech is on the job and he never has any vehicle returns until mine. Everything worked fine in the vehicle minus the check engine light coming back on. I picked the vehicle up at 3 pm and it was back in the shop by 0700. I am really ticked at this point after donating $850 to a lost cause.

Engine is SHOT. It must have thrown a bearing, when they changed the oil and had a tone of metal in there. The warranty is going to cover it, but super frustrated that it came to this.

It has taken a month for the after market warranty people to show up to even consider doing the engine build. Hopefully I will find out today what is going on.

Perfect example of why I hate “warranties.” Like insurance, great… as long as you don’t try to use it. 🤬🤬🤬

When you say 'chewed up wiring' was it rodent damage or the failed harness retaining hose part that is common?

I think we list OP but - final thought - I wonder if they had ASS still active-activated in the truck?

It would be an indictment of bad engineering on Ford's part.

I SERIOUSLY doubt ASS had anything to do with an engine failure.
Millions of vehicles on the road that have ASS activated.

I had a rod bearing failure and for like 99.99% of the 50k miles driven on my truck, auto stop was not used. I drove it in either T/H, Sport or Drive with auto off disabled. It was turned off in Forscan so even if my wife drove the truck it didn't shut off
