Average 18.5-20 per tank. Hand calculated, not the inflated dash readings. Best tank thus far is 20.7 mpg. My trucks/SUVs are work vehicles and have 5-800# of crap in the bed at all times.

2023 Tremor here and I get the exact same mpg with or without a tune(Unleashed). I've only run 93 in this truck since I purchased it. When I'm on the highway, I drive 80. If I drive 72, I get 1 mpg better. I have too much shit to do, so I don't dawdle along at 72 on the highway. I live in the mountains, so terrain varies.

My previous vehicle was a 2014 Toyota Sequoia, it averaged 16.5 mpg for the time I owned it. Vehicle before that was a 2004 Suburban that averaged 15.3 over 43k miles.

If dash readings are inflated,,, then I'm really concerned. I live at sea level and I don't haul anything except my fat ass. I drive hard but I can't believe I get 11.3 mpg while you're hauling loads and getting better mileage.

I'm missing something here... ?

I just pulled a motorcycle 3 hours on the interstate on my trailer and averaged 80+mph and managed 16 mpg. 600# trailer and 700# bike, with the bed full of my tools and wire.

You should be fine. When I had my 2019 I only had it reading extremely high the moment I got it. That was thanks to the tires being at 45-50 PSI. After I corrected it I was fine

Before I recalibrated the factory settings my on board computer under reported my mileage - there's a sticky somewhere on the forum about tweaking that, especially if you change the wheels. My SCT tuner that I use to install the Unleashed tune has a tire size adjustment menu.

That said, Unleashed midgrade tune, some modest intake upgrades an exhaust upgrade and the inch+ lift at a constant 70 MPH on fairly level highway got me a little more than 25 MPG over a 150 mile stretch.

Otherwise I'm averaging 19.5 in mixed driving.

So... of all the responses I've seen, my MPGs are the worst.

For shits sake.... I've never owned a vehicle that could get more than 12 mpg. I was really hoping the Ranger would be the exception.

I may park my Roush and buy an "un-modified" used XL as a daily driver. And save the Roush for when I don't care about fuel economy.
I have a Tremor with 285's and I get around 17.5. Only got 19 brand new.

Mpg is really affected by speed and how often you mash the gas. I have a boost gauge and try to stay out of it a lot. I want my truck to last 300k so I am picky with my full throttle runs. I do them enough, but I am selective. Its a truck after all. Nothing to prove. My powerstroke filled that void for me, it had something to prove.

I am getting 11-13 mpg around town & 15-16 on the freeway if I drive easy on each. Empty.
Also not thrilled with mileage.
Used 2020 w/285/65x18’s 35k miles.
I did gain 3 mpg going from 45 lb wheels to 30 lb wheels. I hope to go 10 lb lighter tires also sometime soon.
Speedo has not been corrected so that may play in.

Heavy wheels, lift & loss of aero (non stock bumper) all contribute IMO.
Stock is most efficient but I’m a slow learner. ?

Extra weight of winch, full steel skid plates, rock sliders.

With standard city driving 16mpg on e30 tune, 18 on premium with standard performance tune. Driving it like I stole it.
If I baby it i can hit 19/20mpg on e30, but what fun is that.

Towing on premium pulling 2k trailer, and maxing out my cargo weight i did 15mpg on a road trip averaging 75mph.

Tuned with Ford Performance Tune, other mods are noted in my signature. I'm averaging 18mpg these days, but thats almost entirely around town. Most freeway drives these days involve going up and down hills both directions, so never really get to see good cruising. That said, it'll hang in the low 20's if i'm going somewhere at normal highway speeds (under 75), and isn't all hills.

All that said, I am looking to get a custom tune with a downpipe at some point to fully take advantage of the parts i've installed on the truck. I'd expect a full custom tune to get back some economy based on the results I saw from my Focus ST back in the day when I went full custom tune.

Using the computer calculated mileage on my otherwise stock 22 Tremor:

With no wind, I get about 23mpg at 75mph on the highway.
If I drive very carefully and cautiously in town I can get up to 20mpg.
If I drive like a normal person in town I get about 19mpg.
If I drive lightly spirited, i get about 18 mpg.
If I drive like someone with a tuned truck, i get about 16mpg in town.

Bought my 2023 Ranger used, with 3,000 miles. It was like new, clean history, and stock. Was managing 21 MPG (highway)
17 in town. It was bad stock. Don't know how you guys managed more than that.

I've done all the modifications to my truck.
Lowered it 2/4, put bigger tires 22x9, tuned it (Unleashed), CVFab Downpipe, MRT Sidekick exhaust, air filter.
Now I'm getting average 19 MPG.
I drive mostly highway at 75 MPH.
In town it's probably a little less. 16 MPG?
I drive normal. Don't really accelerate hard.
When I do, it likes to drink.

Not much different than stock and still running 87 Octane tune.
